The Wonder Academy is an inquiry-based school serving families with children 6 weeks-6 years.
Our infant & toddler programs are inspired by the work of Dr. Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber, who founded Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE).
Our school also utilizes the Reggio Emilia Approach, adapted from the famous infant/toddler centers and preschools in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
We believe deeply in connecting children to nature and assisting them to learn about and respect the world around them and offer a field-tip based Wilderness Explorers program.
We are working towards integrating Pyramid Model framework into our classroom management toolbox.
We are guided by our Pillars is Foundation:
Respect. All who enter our door are respected and met where they are.
Value. We value our children as whole competent people. We value our parents for being intentional in their parenting approach.
Collaboration & Connection. Learning is not an isolated experience. We learn through our connection to and collaboration with the environment and the people around us.
Environment. The "teacher" who is ever present. We learn through and with the environment we spend time in. A thoughtful indoor environment in addition to Mother Nature are both essential to balanced learning.
Relationship Focused. We learn and see ourselves in relationship to who and what we are surrounded with. All learning happens through a relationship to something else.
We are seeking Early Childhood professionals to join our journey and be a part of creating something unique in the Denver area.
